Haiku Kitchen's menu is not vast, but it is succinct in that you can order any of its' dishes with the protein of your choice, Chicken, Beef, Salmon or Tofu. I chose the Teriyaki Tofu and liked it very much.
This is not a great dish. There's not a lot to it, but Haiku Kitchen offers what many establishments do not. You can request brown rice and for an additional .50 they will give it to you. I also like that the food is made to order. Especially with a protein such as Tofu, it begins to fall apart if it's overcooked or sitting in a steam tray. Also, the amount of sauce is just right so there's no need to pour on more sauce or soy sauce to mix with your food.
The place is simple, the food is straightforward and simple and I can appreciate that.
They also have a Haiki contest and the winner gets a free lunch!
